Microsoft management needs to get the word out to other management. With the exception of a small item in yesterday's Wall Street Journel, I have seen nothing about "Hell Freezing Over" which is exactly what happened with the Novell love fest. An informal poll shows that most of the Microsoft faithful are unaware. Some even think Novell went out of business.

Lets see Microsoft take out full page advertisements in the WSJ and similar publications explaining to top brass at our companies and government agencies what is going on. Management by Magazine has been effective in influence peddling to decision makers. Lets see Microsoft management use the same technique in fostering this correct notion of cooperation. It should not be the American programmer's responsibility to be the messenger. Messengers get shot. Let Microsoft management take the first fire at what will be a big change in long range strategy for many.
