Apples and oranges
Guys, please don't add apples and oranges... The first statement said that 20% of IT decision makers polled intend to implement Vista next year. However, nowhere it's said that they will FULLY implement Vista in their companies. Even if they put Vista in just one PC to toy with the system and do some testing, that counts as an "implementation."

The second statement talked about USAGE. That means the percentage of PCs actually running the OS. That's a completely different thing. In mathematical terms, it's perfectly possible to have even 100% "implementation" with only 1% usage. And it's usage that will bring bucks to Microsoft (or not).

That said, I think Vista will be very, very slowly adopted in corporations. Significant architecture differences (meaning more chances of software incompatibility), an entirely revamped user interface (meaning re-training costs), the need for relatively high-end and expensive hardware (I know many companies, big and small, that still have 8-year-old Pentium MMX desktops running either 98 or 2000 Pro - yes, 2000 runs very well in such old machines, provided you fit them with some extra RAM), and the XP SP2 autoupdate havoc (still fresh in the memory of many IT departments) recommending prudence - that all conspires against Vista in the short term.
