Prior art: human speech recognition
Doesn't the brain rely on "the context that surrounds a word to differentiate between similar-sounding words" to understand, say, people that slur? How can one get a patent on duplicating a process that takes place in most human (and maybe other species) brains? Now if Nuance literally copied the technique, there might be something to this, unless of course, there is only one technique that can be used. But if the technique attempts to mimic the human brain, then something wasn't invented, just copied...by Nuance and VoiceSignal.
