The trademark holders may be overreacting
Google's ads are not listed in line with the search results, but rather off to the side and clearly labelled at ads.

Run a search for "mickey mouse" and you'll see an ad for Walmart (which sells toys and videogames relating to Mickey). A search for "mcafee" lists ads for a couple competing products.

Are either of these causing consumer confusion?
