What is your vision?
I just returned from a presentation on a major system (1300 points of presence), J2EE powered, running on average 650 million daily message requests. The major financial institutions run the same architecture, topping at about 200 million requests. I just checked my browser plug-ins, and I am running Java Plug-in 1.4.1_02. The OpenOffice suite is making use of this same Java plug-in.

The question is, what do you believe Java should be that it is not now. And if MS is/was "the hand that feeds me," as I seem to read your message, just what is the nature of this feeding?
