Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and SharePoint Office Server 2007 have recycle bin for files and list items, robust versioning, backups, Wikis, blogs, RSS feeds etc.

Sorry, your argument is clearly invalid and has nothing to do with Microsoft/Novell deal.
