Microsoft is paying Novell to learn Linux. M$ will now spend the next three years trying to figure out how to make money out of Linux as it transitions away from it's own operating system i.e. it is trying to catch up to IBM before Oracle can accelerate past it. Being a windrone at Redmond is going leave you feeling like you have a limited shelf life (a very limited shelf life, stuck between a rock and a hard place, Indian programmers on one side and Linux on the other).
