Computer Shutdown
The ISP's are now taking some action. My computer was one of the ones unknowingly sending spam with my e-mails. The day my service was shut down was also the same day I first heard about the new plan. It was on the Today show and they said your computer can be disconnected from service by your ISP if it detects that you are sending spam, even if you don't know you are. I went home and my husband informed me that our computer crashed, but later on when he finally got it to come back on, there was a message alerting us that we were sending spam and that it had also detected spyware. We were cut off from service until we had the problem fixed. Thanks to spammers, I spent $80 having my computer repaired. Why should I be made to pay for someone else's "free" speech when I don't want to hear it anyway? Now I am getting custody of my 14-year old sister and my 12-year old brother. So I have to worry about what they're being offered by e-mail- WONDERFUL!!! It's getting to the point where having a computer is not even worth the money, time & effort it takes to maintain it (I already have 2 pets). I can just go back to using the library for information. At least there weren't any ads in those books.
