I think it's probably time we heard from IBM. Red Hat has pretty well demonstrated the viability of the "linux business", and it's a bit absurd that Oracle and Microsoft -- two absolute non-contributors to (and hitherto antagonists of) the Open Software movement -- are now trying to step in and pick up the chips. They may find themselves engaged in the business equivalent of a land war in Asia.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the lately announced mega-corporate assurances of liability protection is that the SCO boogyman may have just had a sharp stake driven straight through its heart.
