PC's should be like copiers
You don't upgrade your copier when a new model comes out, do you?

So, you buy a PC, use it for 3-5 years (getting easier to do with today's hardware) and don't upgrade a thing. Why? When the next cycle comes around, you get all the upgrades built into the price of the box.

That's the way smart companies do it. The upgrade treadmill (fallacy) is nothing more than a way for the software companies to suck more money from you.
