5 machine family Licence
I think Mac has it right with 5.
A family of four ( average family) will have or need 5 computers once the kids are in high school if not before.
my two kids are made to use the internet a lot for homework and have their own computers.
They run Linux because I will not pay for all those Microsoft OS's
They have absolutely no problem using linux.
My laptop runs suse and my desktop is running whatever I am trying at the time .
It is using freespire at this time but has gone through several other distributions.
We have one machine with XP pro which is the machine we use to keep accounts for our business's..No internet (my wife will not change yet)

I use Linux because of WGA and cost.
Not because Windows is a bad OS.after all ,I learned most of what I know about computers using it.
A family licence would certainly slow the drift towards Linux and Mac and should be a no brainer for Microsoft.
For me it is to late.
WGA was the last straw and I took the plunge and will not return to windows.
