Not quite in that light
What I think Chris was trying to highlight was that if something is easy to use, doesn't always mean it can get the job done right or fast. Take this example.

We all love the power screwdriver (at lease I do). No need to twist and turn and sprain your arm. Just slot it in and flip the switch. But have you ever got into on of those "though" screws. The ones that you power screwdriver just cannot turn. Thats where the old manual screwdriver shines.

If I had a directory full off text files (few hundereds) and I needed to change a particular string to something else in all the files. Tell me how are you going to do it in Windows. All the GUI in the world won't help you there. In *nix, do a cat * | sed -e 's/XP/STD/g' and its done.
