User are what they are.
If you have to completely change your behavior to use a piece of
technology, it's not a very good technology then, is it? I mean,
the whole point of computers is supposed to be to enable
people to work more efficiently, not to require everyone to
become computer experts. That's why Windows is such a
horrible product. Instead of being designed to meet the needs of
the user, Microsoft and their backers believe that the user is the
one who should change. That's BS, and it will ultimately fail.
They already failed to force everyone to learn DOS, and Windows
will fail too.

Ever wonder why we don't all have telegraph sets in our houses?
The telegraph was a wonderful device, and for years it was the
only means of rapid coast-to-coast communication, but it never
became a household appliance. Why? Because we learn to talk at
an early age, but telegraphy is a relatively esoteric specialty. We
could all communicate more cheaply if we used the telegraph,
but no, we insist on being able to speak to each other. Someone
who was as fanatical about the telegraph as most IT people are
about Windows they'd be going around whining about these
"stupid end users" who are too lazy or "clueless" to learn Morse
code.
