NO mail-in ripoffs, uh rebates.
Perhaps if the local governments would require all of these rip-offs to be handled as discount coupons applied before tax calculation, we would have increased local sales. This would increase local business income tax revenues.
I know that I base my decision to buy or to NOT buy on the cash that I have to put out to get the product out the door.
Two RAM modules at $69.95 each with a $60.00 mail in rebate is $19.90 plus $12.59 tax = $32.49. Add time to complete the rebate forms and the extra trip to the bank, if you get a check, combined with the wait. and the possibility that the rebate is limited to purchase of only one module, and an internet purchase at $15.50 per module is a bargain. - Posted by: Update victim Posted on: 04/09/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
