Well,
I just dont get it. People complain when Microsoft charges a high amount for their product but you also complain when they give something away at no charge.

The first is because Microsoft charges alot because they know they can and most people don't really have a choice. Yes, there are other options for people that know what they are doing, but for 90% of the population, Microsoft is the only choice (besides not using a computer).

The latter is a little more difficult to explain. When Microsoft "bundles" a product with either Windows or Office, any company that creates the same product will be out of business soon. The only hope they have is that they have a large user base that will not want to switch. Well, at least until Microsoft creates a utility that imports their data happy

I am on the fence with all this. On the one hand, I like free software. On the other hand, I wonder where Microsoft will stop. Or what will happen in a few decades when there is only Microsoft software. The problem is that Microsoft can't stop. People aren't upgrading software like they used to. They have to keep giving people incentives to upgrade.

The question is - will it be good or bad.
