Gator removed!
Although almost impossible to get rid of and sure to return if gotten rid of, succeeding is gratifying.

After remooval, create a new folder with the same name (thereis actually two) and in the folder create a text file using the same name as the main gator executable. A text file does not have to end in .txt . Then change the attributes of the folder and the empty text file (renamed to the gator .exe) you have created to "read only", "hidden", and "system". Gator is gone for good. This will work for most spyware and viruses that get on your computer and seem to keep coming back. If safe mode will not stop these infections from loading at startup so removal is possible, renaming these intruders using a winstart.bat file or winit.ini file will often prove successful. Then shore up your defenses. A little effort on the users part can secure a computer better than any third party security tools which don't addreess the holes where these intruders come through anyway.
