Maybe that's what you believe (sounds like it to me).

And since MS publicly trumpets the value of Software Patents, has used them in the past as weapons against their partners (like the OpenGL consortium), and even Bill Gates has flown to countries in the EU and personally issued thinly veiled threats of to their leaders that he would close down MS software development houses in their countries unless they voted for software patents in the EU, maybe MS should live by the sword and die by the sword.

But no, double standards don't work. Software patents are broken in this country. However, MS thinks they are wonderful as is, cranks out software patents all the time for ridiculous garbage (like double-click), and wants to force the same stuff on the rest of the world.
