- It was faster than Windows before Edgy
- I have been using Dapper for the last 3 months, and in that time, I have never had a problem with bootup speed. Usually 25 seconds to login screen, another 25 after that. Has not changed markedly from that time to this, and I boot into Ubuntu about 95% of the time I use my computer (dual-boot Windoze). I want to try Edgy to see if it fixes the few gripes I have with Dapper. If it does, you can pretty much kiss Windoze goodbye.
