- Actually Java Web Start is surprisingly popular in some circles, especially where there is some coherence or control over the client audience. If you hang out on javalobby.org for a while you'll see what I mean. Whenever I talk about Eclipse RCP (desktop) the first question is always "can it be deployed with JWS"? (it can with some work)
