Why is everyone berating MS for missing the ship date? They criticize the company when it releases buggy code, and then they criticize it when it delays release due to quality issues.
MS said it would focus more on quality and less on artificial deadlines. The company is doing what it promised to do in response to customer pressure to tighten the ship. Now that it's following through on the promise, it continues to get slammed.
MS hardly needs an analyst's soothing words, but fair is fair. And we can't have it both ways, so enough with the whining.
