I was surfing Microsoft's Community Forums trying to help one poor, misguided friend with a Publisher problem (he won't be on Publisher much longer, I'm pretty sure). Apparently, even the Microsoft staff tell you to "get it into PDF, then work on it with ________ (throw in your own 3rd-party PDF-tweaking tool here)" as the standard cure when Word/Publisher users have to interact with the real world out here. Too bad no Microsoft products can cut the muster when you have to do a press run of 200,000 to get your company catalog into the hands of potential buyers.
