Why Real Player is a bad product:
Its default settings are to send you email, media ads and updates and to put processes into your startup that communicate with the internet constantly. The check boxes for these options are deceptively hidden. 1 of them says: 'Send statitistics" over the internet..ok...NOT. It is a huge program that just like the other post here says; it tries to take over your media file handling without your permission. It uses bandwidth and thinks you have nothing else to do on your computer but use Real Player. Even after your done installing it, it "continues install through the internet".. then you will still need more codecs after all that if you try to run a new video.
