Now if they'd just optimize Flash for Mac, we'd be on a roll. Flash is unexcusably slow in OS X. Not because OS X is slow, or the hardware it runs on, but because ever since its inception they've never optimized it for the Mac.

All those years while Apple was using PowerPC chips with AltiVec, a vector processing unit, Macromedia never made use of it.

Now that Apple's on Intel chips using SSE, the OS X version still doesn't use SSE.

Hopefully Adobe will fix this as well. It always seemed counterintuitive given that Apple is actually the majority in the creative market.
