Continuing to drive standards...
Microsoft continues to drive standards and interoperability like nobody else. My rep brought over the paperwork and I signed it as usual, without even reading it. I immediately had my top-Top-TOP MCSDs start pouring over the VHD documentation to see how we can leverage the technology. My rep has recommended we do a case study and offered to take me to dinner to "seal the deal". One of the ideas we are bouncing around is to take our SQL Server 2005 installation and use RAID5 with VHDs instead of using physical disks. Our DBA said this would not be a good idea so I threatened his job and told him to "do what he is told and shut his mouth". My rep then gave me a high-five and we went to Starbucks.
