Taking you at your word might I ask.....
What kind of XP machine are you using? What kind of OSX machine
are you using? And their configurations ie memory and such?

I assume you are patching using the same network or I'd ask you
that as well. For instance using the "work" High Speed network to
patch your XP machine and the dial up connection for you OSX
machine would be a bit unfair...he hheh heh
