Does anyone believe anything will ever change?
Come on, why would USPO or congress want to clean up patent laws when the current standards make it so easy for companies to patent whatever they deem might actually be discovered or used by a competitor in the near future? And think of the poor patent attorney's who will see a decrease in case work. Companies who live or die on an abusive and unfair patent system isn't going to allow it.

Its really all talk and no intentions of doing anything. Notice there is no mention of removing so called "business plans" from being elgiable for patenting. If there was going to be a serious attempt to clean up patent laws this would top the list, but it isn't.

Under todays patent standards Edison would not have to labor to produce a light bulb -- all he would have to do is talk about it and wait for some fool to come along who actually figure it out to only than sue him for infringment.
