Security firms skeptical about Vista shift
Bad choice from Microsoft. There was no need to open the kernel to 3rd parties. The Microsoft security model was plenty enough to protect users. By allowing 3rd parties access it will jeopardize the security of Vista. Any comprimises made in Vista can be blamed strictly on 3rd parties like Symantec and McAfee and not Microsoft. Disabling parts of the security center? They have to be crazy. If the 3rd parties can do it then so can a malicious person. Like I said, not a good decision at all.
