Whoa, say it in't so, MS tests the OSS model - duh!
MS sticks its toe in the OSS world. The future of for profit SW development must be bleak. As all the MS shills have repeatedly stated over the years, programmers deserve to be paid for their work. That SW development business model is dead now -right?

Na, MS had no choice, if the OSS developers can't install their superior wares on Windows then the future of Windows is compromised over its own religion.

Overall, I'd say this is a smart move and an example of MS's realization that it either opens up and competes on value or stays closed and becomes irrelevant. Imagine that, a compasny with 95% market share sending a clear signal that it business model is obsolete even before it admits it outright. Pesky customers, if they can choose they might not use ...
