No, just apply Computing 101
Before installing a new OS or upgrade (Windows, Mac or whatever):
1) Always backup critical files
2) Let "someone else" do it first and find out what went wrong
3) If you HAVE to be "someone else", load it on a non-mission critical machine first
4) When possible, wait for the .x.1 version but STILL remember steps 1-3 regardless!!!!!

NO OS is perfect, but that does not mean they are ALL cr@p. These issues will be dealt with and OS X will STILL be more stable and more secure than a certain other OS, without the spyware, DRM, activation, viruses and just plain UGLY (unless you are a big TeleTubbies fan, in that case, my apologies on several levels) UI.
