Most consumers don't know a desktop from a doorknob
And often enough have troubles using both of them.

I've seen departments that give users free reign. It makes that underkempt zoo look (and smell) regal by comparison.

And as Gartner also talks of replacing custom programs with out-of-box solutions, this article is a bit of a contradictory.

No doubt Microsoft will compete against google too. They have a history of copy others' products and ramming it into the market as a "need". Is Microsoft a genius for leading, or are people geniuses for wanting to be led?
