Retain... as against reGAIN..
Hmm.. why would MS be so petrified about people trying (as you put it) "broken" software. Could it be because people are so used to the broken crap MS has been putting out all these years (and charging a bomb) that they just might say "Oh well, at least this crap's FREE" and stick with Linux and OO? Probably. If you have to use crap to get your work done, at least getting it free is a sane alternative to emptying your wallet for it!

And DON'T get started on "Winduhs ain't crap" with that familiar gamey whine... IBM may have invented Ctrl-Alt-Del, but MS made it the hundredth keystroke combination you type every time you boot Winduhs! You can actually install software on Linux without having to undergo half-a-dozen reboots.. shockingly backward, I know!
And, most tellingly - if the MS products *were* better, they would be confident that people who tried Linux and OO and found they didn't work for them, would *return* to Winduhs. WHY ARE THEY SO AFRAID??!!!

And, anyway, the lousy crooks STOLE the whole idea from Xerox and Apple! They're selling idiots like you the proceeds of their theft, while having brainwashed you into whining "Piracy drives up legitimate users' costs" "Legitimate users have to pay for what others have stolen"... Hah! If only you knew how true that last line was...

Despite their having a corporate history of grabbing what they can from others and stomping out what they can't (remember Netscape?)... it's not surprising to find mentally challenged specimens like you still *support* MS.

If you're *not* mentally challenged, then you probably work for Forrester Research... which means you're morally challenged...
