You must be an RIAA shill
"The question is, of course, how to protect the content while providing the service. In addition, there is the need to preserve the retail CD model for some period of time since a large number of their customers either do not have the facilities or the desire to participate in the download model." What have you been smoking and where can I get some. I am in desperate need of such a reality bending drug right about now after reading all of your posts. You are apparently ignoring several key points. The cost of making a CD is less than that of making a DVD. This is public record information. Hollywood is not going broke with their DVD sales so how can the RIAA members justify the 30-50% higher prices on music CD's when they require artists to pay them back for everything they front them to make the CD and then the contracts the artists sign give the rights to sell the music to that "music" company for many years. They also control the radio stations about how much they play certain music. That is a monopolistic practise last time I checked BUT wait, they contribute to many elected officials to change laws to benefit their industry alone so that might have changed by now. This is a revolution about getting our money's worth. I personally own over 100 CD's, LP's, cassettes, & 8-tracks. They want me to keep buying the newest way to play the music so they get more income off the same music on a different media. They will really hate me when I say I hunted he internet for digital copies of all the music that I own. And you, "Mr. Bradley", will sit there and call me a theif because I did not run out and pay the RIAA members for these copies. Why don't you cover all the points instead of just the ones that the RIAA is currently preaching.

My 2 cents worth
Waitin for RIAA flames
