Is it safe to go back into the water?
What else can Ballmer et all do? Microsoft has been found guilty of abuses in the EU as well as in the USA. Sure, both court systems can't handle the appeals but when the Economist starts agreeing with Judge Jackson and recommending that Judge KK split the company up because nothing has worked, it is time to fold.

Sure Sun looks like a looser. What is a few billion to Microsoft? But there will be more. I suspect Ballmer will be leaving soon. The healing really can not start with out that. Oh Butthead too;>)

Lets recognize that Microsoft is a national asset worth saving. But under current management it has the potential of bringing down the USA. That is how significant this business is. Microsoft threatens literally the security of the nation under its current leadership. The trade sanctions recently imposed (for which Boeing fortunately obtained an exemption) are directly related to Microsoft business practices and the inability of the US governent to control its managment.

Sign, it may not yet be safe to go back into the water. 50 billion in cash is more than the US has spent in IRAQ. (I think) Ballmer and Butthead can still hire Black Water "security guards" if not other privatized army units and be war lords with the worst of them. The money itself is a threat.

Lets see a dividend distribution. This should put some investment cash into the US and World economy and reduce the threat from Microsoft in the eyes of Europe, at least.
