Actually, some services do offer this much space
While most of the personal email services offer 25-100 MB of space for storage if you pay, there actually exist services on the professional (usually for businesses) side that offer as much as Google will, if you're willing to pay. http://www.host-grid.com/ is one such service. OK, it's technically not an email service (it's web hosting, but it does do web-based email), and you do have to get a domain name, but such services are out there . . .

As far as privacy goes, no thanks, I don't want them reading my emails no matter what they promise . . .
