Keep trying, ken_ballard@...? it?s always good. But try harder ...
ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Software is not just one big giant market.?

Yeah, only 98% is owned by MS.

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Globalization of the entire software market is what individual companies are competing for, except its globalization of their product.?

But by your scenario of competition ? one day one company INEVITABLY will seize the whole planet with all governments, businesses, people, etc. Nothing is wrong with, isn't it?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Even open source developers compete to get their product into more peoples hands (or on their computers, depending on how you want to look at it).?

You didn?t understand the idea of what I am talking about. OSS/GPL + a well-organized system won?t globalize anything even if it would be the leading world power.

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Again, how will this (ROTATION by certain algorithm) protect against corruption? You haven't answered that question. In the US government, we have rotation by a clearly defined algorithm. Has that prevented corruption? I don't think so.?

You did not pay attention to the words ? ?by certain algorithm?. This is not so simple as the 4-year periods (not even close). There is a system of ROTATION that prevents the abuse of power and that?s the reason why this system is not accepted despite being proven. Why? Because a typical human nature wants to abuse the power and the ONLY global solution to prevent this abuse is international ... (too complicated to mention).

Unfortunately, psychologically you are not prepared to hear the algorithm (you did not show a sign yet that you can). It means you won?t understand it without at least a couple lectures. Should I do this for YOU?

Plus, you probably don?t know that Americans do not elect president/Senate/etc. anymore (thanks to e-voting machines). For example, G.W. Bush is a TWICE illegally elected president. It means I am talking about the thing that is able to prevent this ... for sure.

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?And unless you're the CEO of a multinational corporation with thousands of people below you, you're no more qualified than I in determining who is a qualified individual with whom you can discuss this.?

But you don?t know even the basic of what I am talking about.

What do you think - CEO of a multinational corporation with thousands of people are the smartest man or the slickest fox?

Same question about professors ... (?)

Who can faster get to the top of the human society ? the smartest human or the most dangerous two-legged predator?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Other ways to protect against corruption have also failed to be absolute. Corruption exists as clear proof of this. There is no way to completely prevent it.?

Summary of what you wrote ? mankind will be rotten till the complete extinction and nothing can prevent it and it?s OK.

If you don?t know the solution ? it does not mean it does not exist. Or you think you are as smart as God?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?How can you protect people? I'd certainly love to hear a detailed explanation as to how your proposal will protect developers. By removing their ability to decide how they will distribute their software? By removing an open market where software can compete not only on features but price??

Standing against MS is competition or survival? Where did you find an "open free market"? In the remaining 2% of the market while they are able to compete?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?How is having hundreds of different versions of the same software with varying features a good thing??

Using COMMON SENSE.

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Personally I don't care why mankind was created. I'm an evolutionist, actually, so I believe we evolved from a long line of other species long gone. But I digress...?

That?s why you want to screw your life (SUBCONSCIOUSLY).

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?I know why I'm here: to compete in this society so that I can live and live well, get what I need, and go on with life.?

Wrong answer and due to this you go in a wrong direction with wrong decisions, etc. Analogously ? plants are here not to compete, not for love, not to have fun, ... but to produce oxygen, food, ... Love, hunger, fun, ... were designed as tools to stimulate oxygen/food production ...

Humans were created for similar purpose ... But you don?t want even to guess. Too smart?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ??But the thing is, though, is that I don't have to be at the top. I don't need to take down bigger corporations. I just need to make enough money to keep myself going and keep my company in the black.?

Back to sheep?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ??There is no "swimming among the sharks" here. It's just one person of many trying to compete in the open market and make a place in the economy.?

Yeah, Bill Gates is an innocent sheep, Balmer is a lamb, ...

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?? ... More like lesser wolves competing amongst the pack to establish and maintain a place on the ladder.?

If ?just one person (developer) of many trying to compete in the open market and make a place in the economy? ? he/she is a blind sheep.

Why? Because this ?smart? sheep do not believe that wolves are dangerous, plus this sheep loves wolf?s laws.

It means these sheep-developers want to live among the wolves and control wolves by wolf?s laws. Very ?smart? decision."

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?If you or anyone can prove that Bill Gates knew that 9/11 was going to happen, then throw him in jail. Otherwise keep your outrageous and dispicable theories to yourself.?

Bill Gates will arrest himself by his will, right?

ken_ballard@...? wrote: ?Microsoft stock and the entire stock market were declining before 9/11. And the rest of your statements on that mark are so absurd as to be unworthy of any comment.?

According to you the entire stock market did not react on 9/11. Well, maybe you have problem with your memory or there is something worse, ken_ballard@...?

Do you have enough brains to answer the question ? where did Bill Gates get $7 billions after 9/11 if Microsoft stock went down?

Maybe I can help you?
