I doubt MS Office would really be as popular as it is if it weren't for the fact that it comes with most computers - I doubt it would really be as popular if people really paid the full price!

Also, the misconception about free software is also true.

This should be interesting. I've played around with Windows versions of WordPerfect, they're just as good as (if not better than) Word. I wonder if the Linux version will be the same? If so, it could be a viable competitor to StarOffice in the Linux arena.
