In reality (and I'm telling you thins because
you are probably too young to know your software history) MS products take anywhere from 3 to 5 attempts to come close in quality to her competitors. MS Word was a really poor product compared to WordPerfect for years. The same can be said for just about everything MS has ever copied. I can't understand it myself...after all MS had everything she needed to make (right out of the gate) quality apps. A competitor to copy..and tones of money and programmer thanks to income from MS Dos and later Windows. So for me MS is the company that over these many years has had no excuse.
