95.9% and counting down.
The stats went down 2 days ago when my customer started to use OpenOffice on 2 of their brand new Dell computers running XP. An MS rep. made a sceen with one of the managers when MS didn't want to sell them an OEM package (lower price) of OfficeXP. The rep. insisted that they should have made the OEM order via Dell although Dell didn't have the OEM bundling for that promotional model.

I later offered and installed a 'free alternative' and they liked it almost straight away. They've got another 5 more workstations with Office2k that they intend to change but are keeping them for another 3~4 week to see how compatible this alternative is. If all is well (and I know it will be), in another 3~4 weeks, the percentage of Windows Desktops running MS Office will be down by another 5 users. Good Day to you!
