Grow Up
You blatant dislike and unfounded excuses are quite funny. My company has used instant messaging for 3 years now and have seen quite a jump in productivity. Email is great for sending documents and general forms of communication, but IM takes that to real-time...much more conducive. So quit crying like an 80 year old computer illiterate and except the fact that modes of communication change...we can argue more through IM if you want wink.

By the way...my company uses Trillian. One of the best applications ever written.
