Even within the GPL world, LinuxCreep is totally clueless
Well, LinuxCreep, I thought that among "your own kind" you might (just might) have something lucid to say.

So, you want to branch all GPL code into "2 identical branches"? Really. And just how long would they STAY identical? Who would maintain such a fiasco? Do you EVER think before you write this stuff?

Seems to me that if GPL code is "free", courtesy of stallman and the "Free" software foundation, there is nothing to steal, is there? (Not to mention, nothing *worth* stealing, but I digress ...)

Windows is doing just fine without Linux code. Windows needs neither Linux code, nor any of your idiotic ideas.

I swear, do you EVER get tired of this lame 'M$' notation for Microsoft? A more dense, clueless, juvenile, purile plague on ZdNet I have never seen.
