Ummm old news Microsoft has already stopped the practice
of issuing stock options to employees.

And on another note after the ENRON debacle one would think that current and potential investors would want this change. I live in Houston and on the news was story after story of Enron employees thinking they would retire with a substantial nest egg finding out that their stock options were worthless after all. These stock options are currently listed as a foot note in the expense report. I would venture to guess that most investors by pass this foot note at their own peril. The options are hidden debt and that is not a good thing
