And what are these people going to do?
These are supposed to be NEW jobs. So they are going to do something that is Vista specific. What is it that can only be done on vista and will create 50000 jobs?

One what figures concerning switching to Vista by buisinesses is this based? How many companies will have to ditch existing win2k and winxp liscences for these numbers to be right?

Switching to Vista is crucial for these new jobs otherwise claiming Vista will create these jobs is bogus.

I think a study like this is not something to base policy on unless they can answer some of these questions. Winxp is still struggeling to get a foothold in many buisinesses so switching to Vista might be a slow process. My employer emlpoyes almost 1100 employees and there's not an xp machine in sight...all win2k The recent buy of pc's are all pc's with specs that would not support Vista by a long shot. Switching to vista would mean buying new hardware before recently purchased machines are written of. Not likely to happen anytime soon.

So I gues none of these 50000 people will be doing something we can use.
