rebuttal to not true...
Joe,

[sic] > Unfortunatly it doesn't work with many of the sites i deal with, so for me Mozilla is NOT the better browser.<

Since M$ bolted their browser to the OS, and then later 'extended' the standard, what appears to be broken in Mozilla is actually 'non-standard' extensions to HTML that, GASP! only work with IE. Now, I realize you must get your work done, so you MUST use IE. Now do you see why IE sucks?

Microsoft took an open standard and twisted it to their benefit - completely disregarding what is/was best for the industry. This is the often mentioned, Embrace, Extend, Extinguish phenomenon.

I go argue this point with many people - they say 'Look how much GOOD Microsoft has done for the industry - look how far ahead of where we were!'

My answer is always: 'We have no idea of knowing just how much FARTHER AHEAD computing would be if Microsoft hadn't been around! They've done more to set computing back than they've ever done to bring it forward!' (And corrupting the HTML standard is just one example).

If you are EVER in the position of designing/developing a web site - stick with the standards! wink

-Spikey
