Sorry I don't have a link to the story, but McBoondoggle admitted in an interview last June or July at the latest, possibly earlier that when he became CEO he knew that the company would die if he didn't do something. This is what his plan turned out to be: A slow dirty death instead of a swift clean one.
As to billable hours, a summary judgement would wrap up the case fairly soon in comparison to waiting out SCO's interminable stalling and tactic switching. They have admitted to the judge there were no trade secrets and twice said that they cannot prove any contract violations without seeing more than the judge would allow in discovery. Post traumatic stress isn't an assessment, it is a perspective.
