Will not last for long....
Microsoft has set their sites on Google and it will all be over soon enough. The primary driver behind this will be the advantages of Longhorn over the Google platform. Google is locked into Linux, caught in lock-in and beholden to the open source movement. Microsoft will continue to drive ENORMOUS and GARGANTUAN improvements in Windows, peaking with Longhorn and the overall Longhorn wave. I have seen the PowerPoint decks from my rep and it is all but a given this will happen.
