No reason for prison in this case
Frankly, if the people were getting the software at those low prices and didn't know that they were getting a 'non-genuine' article, they are stupid and need to be euthanized for the rest of us to live in safety.

Microsoft tells people to ONLY buy from reputable businesses and to make sure that when they buy that the box is sealed when you get it.
It isn't that hard to go onto their list of authorized resellers and see "Oh, my person/business isn't on there, I won't buy from them."

No sympathy for the people who were 'defrauded' because they set themselves up to be defrauded with their blatent stupidity.

There is also no reason for prison in this case. This guy didn't assault anyone, didn't cause anyone to die, didn't actively kill anyone, etc.

A better punishment would be to sieze all his assets and give them back to the people first, then the companies, who bought from him.
