It's more like buying a car for $10,000 and tricking it out for $20,000. Something people actually do and there are companies that specialize in that.

Office is over priced, that I agree with. And you know that user who only wants a word processor, power point and publisher has option to buy other software or even go open source. If something like Open Office isn't good enough for them then they can buy Office.
