MS Executives not protected from criticisms
In countries with adequate justice systems, you are apparently prohibited from flaming corporate executives unless you have proof. This is not the case in the US - Judge Jackson has shown us the way. Orilly confirms. The rich are powerless in the US courts of public opinion and all may speak whithout fear of law suits. US based Blogging may save us all.

The way in the US is the court of public opinion.

We must do all we can to get our children to recognize that the ways of the Gates family, the ways of Bill Neukom, the ways of Alchin and Ballmer and Chase are the ways of criminals.

There must be no high regard given, in spite of charitably giving, political contributions, and stock and other gifts. Even educational and professional accomplishments must be questioned because the rich born enter colleges by donation rather than merit and just as pirates of old purchase pardons and knighthoods.

Look for the criminals to make US laws regarding bad mouthing corporate executives more like EU laws. Lets first make laws involving corporate power and corporate taxation more EU like. Lets see Spitzer succeed with charity reform.

Lets also see that pirates do not usually fight. They rely on bluffing, bullying, scare tactics, lieing and speed. The expectation is that once the black jolly rodger flag is hoisted the prize will be taken without battle and crew will willingly submit even joining the pirates. It has been the Microsoft way since its founding.

The red flag of battle to the death need never be hoisted. Gates can resign from the board at Microsoft, Vista can be launched so Alchine can be resigned, and we can continue to snub Ballmer and Neukom at parties without reprisal. Preston Gates and Ellis, like Arthur Andersen, needs to disband. There is honor in suicide for such busnisses because they exist in public trust that once violated is not repairable. We can tolerate those that support pirates no more than the pirates themselves.

Even if arresting ala Abramoff and Lay is not possible, we might yet obtain decades without hearing of the Gates, The Ballmers, The Neukoms, the Alchins. Our childern need never hear of their wrong deeds or be given cause to emulate them. Another 100 years may pass without such terror. What is up with HP! Argh. We must deal with problems in our industry for at least another few years. But there is light my brothers and sisters. There is glorious light of salvation.

The Church of the Future of Software Design is now closed.
