I'll give you a hint: Hardware acceleration in yesterday's routers (say, from 1998 til now) was exclusively tied to IPv4. We'll have to wait for IPv6 hardware acceleration. I don't know if any of Cisco's current gear does it, but you'd think that Juniper, 3Com, Lucent, Ericsson, Alcatel, et al aren't sitting still. China's going full bore for IPv6, so is India.

You wouldn't want to be known as a Luddite, now, wouldya?
