Did Dollar Bill settled with the DOJ because he was innocent?

Then there are some who claim he he stole the first OS - MS-DOS.

I personally have never met Bill Gates to hear his side. So guilty or not, Who knows? I do know that his current OS and those before have had an unbelievable amount of code with flaws which have cost many, many people enormous resources in time and money from using the OS's. At the very least, this is negligence and MS should be required to cover the liability.

To at least mention something related to this article, Bill Gates has become less and less involved in the technichal arena and turned into a high profile spokes person. I think he has lost touch with the actual technology of today's IT world. None of his information is of a technical nature and is not even addressing the critical issues. And I start coughing when I reads his words in the press because of the thick smoke from his smoke screens.
